You’re flat lining. The light is fading from your eyes as doctors yell something and rush you down a hallway of florescent lights. Suddenly, you feel like your floating and you are moving through a dark tunnel. At the end of a tunnel is a bright light. You rush toward it and become engulfed by it. But then you wake up, sitting in a hospital bed. The doctor tells you that your heart had stopped for a solid two minutes. Fear and Loathing in Your Parent’s Basement
For some time now, the youth of America have been paralyzed by fear. Not fear for safety, or fear of hunger, but fear of the unknown. This large contributor to complacency and unemployment has paralyzed a generation, no longer children but not yet adults. Due to tough economic times, more kids are returning home after college to live with their parents. Even before the economic crunch, a larger trend of women returning home after school existed. From 1960 to 2005, the number of 18-24 year old females living at home grew from 35% to 46%. Some postulate that this is due to more young adults delaying marriage.
